GPTQ Training and Research Bursary

AMA Queensland Foundation is committed to supporting and promoting general practice. This bursary will target both GP Fellows (GPs) and GP Registrars (GPRs) who live and work in Queensland and will support both training and research opportunities that promote better health outcomes for Queenslanders.
 


Bursary Offer

  • Up to four bursaries of $20,000 each may be awarded annually.

Key Dates

  • Applications close Monday 29 April 2024 at 5pm (AEST). Applications received after 5pm (AEST) on 29 April 2024 cannot be considered.
  • Bursary winners will be announced at the AMA Queensland Foundation Charity Gala in July 2024.

Medical Student Scholarships

The AMA Queensland Foundation is committed to helping Queenslanders in need. Since 2004, the Foundation has provided over $505 000 in financial assistance to 31 medical students suffering financial hardship while studying in Queensland.
 
Our 2024 AMA Queensland Foundation Medical Student Scholarship application process closed 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 28 February 2024.  
 


Scholarship Offer

  • One-off award of $10,000 paid in two equal instalments.
  • Free AMA Queensland student membership for the duration of the degree.
  • Up to three scholarships may be awarded for 2024.
  • All applicants are eligible to reapply in subsequent years.

  • Applications open 1 November and close 28 February, 5pm (AEST) each year.
